Elora West ‘16 is already making a difference in the world. From the dolphin-killing cove of Taiji, Japan to the local humane society, West is using her voice to bring awareness to environmental and animal rights issues. At 21 years old, she currently serves on the advisory board for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) and volunteers at the Chittenden County Humane Society. All while she is a full-time student at Burlington College pursuing a degree in media activism and political studies.
West grew up in a family where her dad worked for the Environmental Protection Agency and family friends included people like Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd.
